Do you currently provide telehealth sessions? Face to Face sessions?

Telehealth services are provided through the HIPAA compliant platform Google Meets.

I am able to provide in person sessions at my office while you and I are practicing appropriate safety measures.

We can discuss what best meets your needs during our consultation.

How do I know if you are the right therapist for me?

My hope is to build a relationship together where you should be able to feel comfortable and vulnerable.  The space you create with me is free of judgment. You should feel empowered to be able to question what has been said to you, what you've said to yourself and what I have said to you.

The relationship you build with me is essential as a stepping stone to change.  If you feel that I am not the right Therapist for you, I will provide you with a few names that may fit your need.  The free consultation will assist you in helping to decide how comfortable you will feel talking to me.

Are you available between sessions?

I am currently unable to provide 24 hour crisis services.  Should you need emergency support, please contact 911 or San Diego Access and Crisis Line at 1-888-724-7240.

Otherwise, please leave a voicemail and I will return your call within one business day.  Any calls left on Friday will be returned on Monday.

Do you provide free consultations?

Not all therapists work the same way so it’s encouraged that you get in touch to determine if we are the right fit for each other. A therapist’s role is support you.

An initial talk will involve a free 30 minute phone call where we can discuss what is triggering your request for therapy and we can answer any of your questions.

How frequent are the sessions?

Frequency will be determined on your needs and availability. My role is to support you through this growth process in the hopes of you feeling you’ve reached a point where you no longer feel distress. However, a big part of this work is the therapist/client relationship.

Is everything really confidential?

Everything shared in therapy stays confidential.  However, there are State mandated exceptions that legally requires a therapist to break confidentiality.  Those exceptions are in the cases of suspicions around child abuse, digital pornography involving youth, elderly abuse, homicidal ideation and suicidal ideation.  In rare situations where there is a court case involved, there are legal guidelines on what a Therapist and Client can do.

Professional consultation with other Therapists or Legal Consultants may sometimes be necessary as part of the therapeutic work.  During these consultations, no identifying information will be provided about you.

Are you able to prescribe medication?

Only professionals with an MD license are able to prescribe medication. Please reach out to your Primary Care Physician or a Psychiatrist if you are interested in psychotropic medication.
